At this location, the preHistorisch Dorp is building Museumpark Vonk. A museum offering an educational day out where visitors embark on a journey through time in search of the story and strength of the city and region of Eindhoven. Museumpark Vonk is constantly evolving: a place for thinking and building, where history is shared, made and felt.

The new museum building will be made of wood and will have a façade of hempcrete (lime and hemp) along with a publicly accessible green roof. In this way, we connect the building materials used in the past to a sustainable future.

Museum Park

An asphalt surface has already been removed to make way for the construction of the museum park. We are restoring the cultural-historical landscape, using the existing ecologicaln values and structures as our starting point. By incorporating toad pools, wadis and native planting, a varied landscape will be created.
