Bread making
These days we want everything fast, faster, fastest. But in the past, baking fresh bread required a lot more patience. Did you know that baking bread in a clay oven could take as long as three hours?
Fortunately, it’s a little quicker here! First, grind your own grain and then make your bread dough. Wrap the dough around a stick and hold your bread over the fire. As soon as the dough comes away from the stick, your bread is ready.
This activity is guided by a historical resident and is offered at set times.
In exceptional weather conditions, the programme in the museum park may be adjusted. Please check the latest information in the museum park during your visit.
