Whether you knew us as the preHistorisch Dorp or Eindhoven Museum, here you discover what changes and what stays the same.
VONK, huh?
Maybe you first want to know what VONK is? VONK is a hands-on historical museum, formed from the former preHistorisch Dorp and Eindhoven Museum. Together, these two museums cover more than 10,000 years of history, from the first spark to today’s innovative Eindhoven.
What stays the same
The historic buildings, inhabitants, crafts, and activities of the preHistorisch Dorp remain part of VONK. You will soon find them in the World of Experience, where you can still experience history in the way you are used to.
What is changing
Of course, a lot is being added as well!
Maybe you’ve already seen the new museum building on Boutenslaan? Here you’ll find an introductory show, an exhibition, and a workshop where you can help build history yourself. There is also an auditorium and a brasserie with a terrace.
In the museum park, you will soon find our worlds where you can experience history in different ways.
Open the whole year
While the preHistorisch Dorp was only open from March to September, VONK is open all year round. We therefore look forward to welcoming you back in winter as well.
