Dive in the Prehistory

Educational program

Bewoner uit prehistorie praat met kinderen

How much has the world changed since the Iron Age… or does it only seem that way? The houses, beds, and tools of that time look completely different from those of today. Which makes sense. And yet: some things are surprisingly familiar. Even 2,000 years ago, people simply enjoyed having a sandwich for lunch.

Back to the Iron Age

In this educational programme, you literally step out of the present and travel back in time. You work alongside an inhabitant from prehistory and discover what everyday life looked like back then.

You roll up your sleeves and bake bread in a traditional clay oven, just as people did in the Iron Age.

And after that? Time to explore and try things out. Have you ever sailed in a dugout canoe? Here, you can.
